Submission
Two complementary modules (‘quick submission’ and ‘formal submission’) are available for you to upload your new discoveries to the SecretEPDB database.
- When using the ‘quick submission’ module, you can simply submit a new effector protein by quickly providing brief information, such as the UniProt accession/link, PubMed ID/link or the title of the literature paper that reports on the new entry. After successfully receiving the request, the database administrator will carefully review the submission and update the database accordingly after its verification.
- When using the ‘formal submission’ module, you will need to provide detailed information and biological annotations for the entries you would like to submit. The submission under this module should contain contact information and protein general information, which includes protein name, gene name, amino acid sequence, functional annotations etc. When submitting your new entries, you are encouraged to provide additional information such as structural and functional annotations that may help to annotate the entry. Each submission will be subject to review prior to being included in the current database and made publicly available.
